Do we have any informations whether IFC File-Export will be possible in NX12 ?

Best regards
Wolfgang

RE: IFC file format / NX12

I have no clue about that,
but i do know that there is a JT<->IFC translator from Siemens available.
I am about to test it myself.

There is a IFC->Step translator freeware "on the web",
I downloaded a couple of months ago, i guess (?) it was from http://ifcopenshell.org/ifcconvert.html

Tomas

RE: IFC file format / NX12

I have very quickly tested the Siemens Jt<->IFC translator. It is not integrated. runs from command prompt.
The test i did was convert a IFC file into JT.
This particular IFC file did not translate perfectly. - Some erratic trimmings.
- This is version 1.1. - room for enhancements .

Tomas

Hi Tomas,

thanks for your fast response.

The topic IFC is coming more and more important - keyword "BIM - Building Information Modeling".
Collaboration between architects and mechanical engineers winky smile

Generating a proper IFC-Format - sometimes we feel to be in the wrong movie ...

Regards
Wolfgang
