Fire damper

Hi all,

i am preparing technical spec for motorized fire damper for HVAC system.

If anyone have technical datasheet for the same, please send me.i required it for my reference.

RE: Fire damper

Use Google to find several manufacturers. Get their technical data and guide specs, I've yet to see any manufacturer unwilling to share. Use one or more as a guide to create a generic spec for your use.

Thanks @ dbill74.

Will wait for your response.

RE: Fire damper

Don't be waiting on me, you'll be waiting a very long time.
You need to do your own leg work on this.

RE: Fire damper

Fire dampers aren't motorized. they operate via a fusible link that closes the damper at a certain high temperature. Are you referring to smoke dampers?

Combo fire/smoke dampers are common. The smoke function works an actuator; the fire function melts a link that springs the dampers closed. There are a lot of misconceptions about these things.

RE: Fire damper

Fire dampers can be motorized, although not needed in most applications.

Add: One application for using a motorized damper is when the duct is vertical and penetrates a floor or other horizontal barrier.
