How is heat flux due to internal heat generation incorporated in UMATH?

(OP)
Fellow researchers,
I am trying to model phase transformation in ABAQUS. I have used UMATH subroutine to define the phase fraction dependent thermal properties such as thermal conductivity and specific heat using state variables resulting from a preceding USDFLD subroutine. In addition to this, I also need to include a subroutine to account for the consequent heat flux due to the latent heat of phase transformation, which can be easily done using HETVAL. However, I realized that HETVAL and UMATH cannot be used together. How can I consider the heat flux due to latent heat in the UMATH itself? Thank you for answering.

Regards
Shufen
