(OP)
Hello everyone. I am Nabi and I am new to this forum.
I am trying to model a weft knitted fabric in ABAQUS/CAE.
In order to do that I want to create a Loop and for that I wanted to use Sweep.
but I just can't figure out how to create a 3D sweep path.
the path I need to use is a curve in x-y-z space and I cant find a tool in sketch part.
I am not familiar with scripts in Abaqus either.

Here is the Question: how do i Create a sweep path(a curve) in x-y-z space? Is it even possible
I thank you in advance for your kind answers.

RE: sweep path

It is possible to do that.

When you start from zero with a new part and want to create it like that, then just create a Reference Point as base feature. Afterwards you see you 3D area in the viewport. Here you can create datum points as you want. Also manually or by script. Then you can create a Wire with "Point to Point" and select your datum points to create a 3D curve.

Then create the base face however you want and use sweep to create a solid of of that.
