Reaction Force Calculation

Reaction Force Calculation

Reaction Force Calculation

(OP)
Hi all,
Good day. I know how to find reaction force for 4 points form its COG point. But how it can be calculated for 3 points or more than 4 like 12 points which are not in a line. Please see the picture I attached.
I would like to get hand calculation procedure. If you know any simple software/tool, please share. I don't want any FEA solution.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Reaction Force Calculation

Calculate Ib, the moment of inertia of n bolts.

Then, Fn = Fz/n + Fx.h.y.Ab/Ib

where Fn is the axial force in bolt(n), h is height of Fx, y is the distance from the c.g. of bolts, positive in the direction of Fx and Ab is the area of bolt(n).
If all bolts are the same size, Ab may be taken equal to 1.0 when calculating Ib or Fn.

Shear per bolt = Fx/n if all bolts are the same size.
