Abaqus Datum

(OP)
Hi all,

I have an abaqus model which has a Datum csys off centre. I create a new csys with 3 points, create a job and write an input file. However, when I import the input file, the new coordinate system has moved to the position of the original datum. This is not correct for my boundary conditions. How do I get the coordinate system I create to stay where I put it?

Regards,
J

RE: Abaqus Datum

The location of a datum CSYS is not relevant, only the orientation.
Each node gets an own CSYS (either global or local) and in this CSYS is the BC used.
