CATIA V5 R2014 - Macro for 2D drawing

CATIA V5 R2014 - Macro for 2D drawing

(OP)
Hi,

I'm trying to write a macro to edit a 2D drawing. I start the macro recording and do the editing, to see the command sequence. I noticed that CATIA does not record the edition.

Is this correct - that is, CATIA does not record the command sequence for a edition in the drafting workbench?

Thanks in advance,
Portolon

RE: CATIA V5 R2014 - Macro for 2D drawing

Hello,

In drafting there is no macro recorder... I know it's a bad thing, but that's what we have. The good new is that across the internet there is a lot of people who have wrote a lot of macro to drawing. Maybe someone have already wrote something similar to what you need. Plus there is the Help file "C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B26\win_b64\code\bin\V5Automation.chm". It's not the best help, but it can help a lot

Hey TiagoFigueiredo,

Thanks for answering.

Since I noticed there's no macro recording in the Drafting Workbench, I'm trying to automate the tasks in the Generative Shape Design Workbench, and then generate a 2D drawing from it.

RE: CATIA V5 R2014 - Macro for 2D drawing

Are you trying to execute manual drawing tasks in the Drafting workbench? If so, a large majority of the Sketcher workbench geometry drawing functions are the same between Sketcher and Drafting workbenches.
