Ansys Workbench Harmonic Analysis
Ansys Workbench Harmonic Analysis
(OP)
Hello,
I am looking to simulate sinusoidal vibrations in the range 0-200 Hz for a structure.
The method I am using is the full body acceleration in the harmonic analysis. However I have also tried it using base excition on the fixed support.
The two method give similar but at some points quite different values for the deformation frequency response. Which method would give the most trustable results? Also wondering if the values are actual deformations of the structure considering in e.g. modal we don't get absolute values.
Regards
Simon

RE: Ansys Workbench Harmonic Analysis
It sounds like you are doing a shaker table type harmonic excitation. Please take a look at CAEAI's insightful presentation: https://caeai.com/sites/default/files/WB%20harmonic%20shaker%20table.pdf
