ABAQUS BOUNDARY CONDITION GENERAL QUESTION

ABAQUS BOUNDARY CONDITION GENERAL QUESTION

ABAQUS BOUNDARY CONDITION GENERAL QUESTION

(OP)
Hello,
I have a question regarding the specification of velocity (feed) using the 'velocity/angular velocity' boundary condition in ABAQUS: if I specify a velocity of 1 m/s without any amplitude and use 'instantaneous' instead, will ABAQUS apply the specified velocity of 1 m/s throughout the step? Or do I need to specify an amplitude so that the velocity of 1 m/s is applied throughout the step?
I want to know if the magnitude will be kept constant throughout step and which way can it be achieved?

Thanks!
