UG Training Recommendations

UG Training Recommendations

UG Training Recommendations

(OP)
All,

I am wondering if anyone can give recommendations on what the next best training to up my skill level in UG would be. Currently, I have approximately 1.5 years experience. Mostly we design tooling fixtures for welding, milling, lathe operations and mill fixtures. I have a decent amount of confidence completing start to finish fixtures, but I also know that there are better more efficient ways than I know now. What recommendation do you have to take the skill to the next level?

Thanks,

Brent

RE: UG Training Recommendations

What training have you had?

Are you skilled with assemblies, sketching, parametric modeling, free-form modeling?

I am fairly skilled with sketching, although, as I gain experience, I am figuring better ways to sketch so that when changes are needed down stream, I can make quick sketch changes without errors to my assemblies. I would give myself maybe a 4 or 5 on a 10 scale when it comes to sketching and assembly. I don't think I've ever dealt with parametric modeling and I have zero experience at free-form modeling.

NX has some on-line training called Learning Advantage
You can also look into some exceptional on line training at https://www.myigetit.com/

I just checked the myigetit site out. That looks like a good avenue. Thanks John, much appreciated.
