ETABS - Joint shells

ETABS - Joint shells

(OP)
Hi everyone.

I've modeled a structure with columns and panels (walls). In real life, the panel is hung to the column only in the 4 vertices of the panel.

So, i want the panel to discharge in that points as the picture shows. I've already assign the edges releases of moment and shear.

Is that posible?

Thanks!

RE: ETABS - Joint shells

Matias,

Perhaps you could sketch the detail between the wall and column? If you have horizontal rebar going from your wall into your column, then the wall will be continuously supported by the column along it's height.

Also, it's good practice to mesh your walls either side of an opening, as per below.
