Considering change in notional thickness when calculating shrinkage for concrete composites

Considering change in notional thickness when calculating shrinkage for concrete composites

(OP)
Hey all,

I'm designing a precast hollow-core slab with a 60mm topping using Australian standards and while calculating shrinkage a thought occurred to me - when the topping is cast, the hypothetical thickness (or notional thickness) of the HC slab should increase since the top of the slab is no longer 'exposed' to the environment - thereby reducing the exposed perimeter. I realise that the effect of this may likely be negligible but for the sake of accuracy, how best can this be considered ? With regard to AS3600, would this simply involve dropping from one k1 curve to another (see attached image) ?

I've scoured google and there doesn't seem to be any literature about this.

Thanks in advance !
