Design of triangular stiffeners for a silo's bolted flanges

Design of triangular stiffeners for a silo's bolted flanges

(OP)
Dear all,

I'm looking for guidance on the design of triangular stiffeners. They are needed for a bolted flange for a silo, which was built with less than the necessary thickness on the flanges. I would normally do a conservative design for small projects, but this one is not so small and I was also wondering how would you approach it and if there is any guides out there.

See attached sketch.

Thanks in advance!
Best regards.

Can you attach a sketch? and are the stiffeners necessary?

I would have thought that your flange material would be 19mm, 20mm or 25mm, depending on what works. Flanges are generally thicker than the 'bin' wall. Check the 30mm dimension to see that you can get a socket on it... more difficult with an open ended wrench.
