Bottom of control building

Bottom of control building

Bottom of control building

(OP)
The steel framing of bottom of a pre-manufactured control room is rusted and I am looking for a temp. solution to replace the steel floor. What is a most economical solution? underpimming and moving out the beams?
What is a method without moving objects refloor underneath
No drawings are avaialbe?

RE: Bottom of control building

Obvious answer; Measure the rusted pieces and find ones that are close in size. Same thing with the floor plate. Stitch them together into a similar configuration. Now here's the bad news, You can't replace or fix the floor without moving the equipment on it. Maybe you can fix the floor in pieces, like a half at a time.
Make sure the new steel is well coated. Try to figure out what's causing the corrosion and fix it.

RE: Bottom of control building

If there is no loss of cross section, it may be worth looking into putting a protective coating to prevent any further rusting. Is the floor sagging because of the rust or is it an aesthetics issue? What is driving the temporary fix instead of seeking a permanent fix?
