Abaqus 2017 and isight 2017: not reading the odb in the Abaqus component

Abaqus 2017 and isight 2017: not reading the odb in the Abaqus component

(OP)
Hi all,

I am using Abaqus 2017 and isight 2017 and I am having some issues.
In particular, I am working with the abaqus component:

1- I try to import the odb file generated with Abaqus 2017 using more than 1 cpu.
I have an error that says that there are not odb files.

2- If I try to import an odb file from Abaqus 2016, isight recognises everything correctly, independently from the number of cpus used to generate the file.

3- Independently from the number of cpus I use, Isight is never able to extract the results from the odb file generated with Abaqus 2017.

The issue is that I created my models in Abaqus 2017 --> if I try to run the abaqus component in isight using abaqus 2016, it gives me errors (as the original cae file is in Abaqus 2017).

How can I solve the issue?
Do you know if I can edit some parameters to use Abaqus 2017 for input and Abaqus 2016 for analysis in isight (as the analysis uses the inp file)?
Or maybe a new patch?

Many thanks

Just an update: Also Abaqus 2016 odbs are not read by isight after the analyses finish.
The version is isight df01, so I guess an update could help?

A note for everyone:

- it seems that Isight cannot open odb created with more than 2 cpus using Abaqus 2017
- it is a known bug that isight cannot open odbs larger than 4GB.

I have developed a workaround with python and batch scripts in sim code and command components.
The most important thing is to run everything in a chosen folder (select it in the properties of your main task).
