Rebar anchors for connecting existing and new RC beam

Rebar anchors for connecting existing and new RC beam

Rebar anchors for connecting existing and new RC beam

(OP)
I read some threads here about this topic, but what I havent noticed and would like to know is:

1) How far should a rebar be anchored into the existing/new concrete element (L1 and L2 in the picture)?
2) Is it alright to anchor a single rebar in the middle of a beam or is it better to do it with 2 anchores? I like a single rebar anhor in the middle since there is less drilling in the existing concrete.
3) Do you prefer any special details at the top of anchor (hooks?)or is a straight rebar alright in your opinion?

I coppied this picture from somewhere else and add my dimensions to it (top beam is a new beam and bottom beam is existing beam).
Green reinforcement in the picture is existing reinforcement. Black reinforcement are new stirrups. I know they are not properly anchored at the bottom, but what can I do (place bellow a slab is not accessible).

New stirrups are sufficient for new shear forces (tension in stirrups) but for shear flow/connection I want to add a single rebar anchor in the middle. What do you think?

RE: Rebar anchors for connecting existing and new RC beam

What will the anchor do that the stirrups cannot do? I would eliminate the anchor and size the stirrups accordingly.
