SCAFFOLDINGS

Sir/Madam,

I just want to ask the differences between Tubular, Modular and System Scaffolding.
Thanks.

RE: SCAFFOLDINGS

Google?

RE: SCAFFOLDINGS

I already tried sir but I didn't find any clear definition for those three.. that's why tried it here, maybe someone can lend me some reference.. to know the difference..thanks

RE: SCAFFOLDINGS

Go to this Link and download SAFWAY's literature on sectional, system and 'tube and clamp' scaffolds.

Different manufacturers have different names for the same type of system/s.

Maybe check with the Scaffolding Shoring & Forming Institute if you are in North America: Link

Thank you so much for the link.

I'll just rephrase my inquiry, how can I determine or tell if the scaffolding is tubular, modular or system scaffolding?

RE: SCAFFOLDINGS

Maybe best if you post a photograph of the scaffold for us to comment.

RE: SCAFFOLDINGS

1. Go to the descriptions and links above.
2. Read them.
3> Go look at the scaffolding.

I am being a bit sarcastic there, but not much. As an engineer, you need to to learn from sources, read the sources, then go look at the problem and solve it.

We (here, at different computers around the world), CANNOT TELL you what kind of scaffolding you have. And, we are a bit surprised you are not able to follow the instructions and assistance freely given above.

Thank you everyone for your replies, it is very much appreciated.

We'll I'm kind of new in the field of scaffolding. And I encountered this 3 terms:

1. Tubular Scaffolding (I don't have any issues with this one for sure it is Tube and fittings).
2. Modular Scaffolding
3. System Scaffolding

All I'm trying to know is the exact definition of these 3 terms.. which could explain their difference from each other.

RE: SCAFFOLDINGS

System scaffolding might just be a brand name for one company's particular product.

Modular scaffolding sounds like an umbrella term for the usual type of scaffold which is made from standard pieces that are used on multiple jobs (like from a scaffold hire company) and not designed\fabricated for a particular job.

Thank you very much @steveh49, now it's clear to me.
