Flexural test for a Sandwich ( ASTM 393 )

(OP)
Hi Guys!
I want to do a flexural test for a sandwich ( ASTM 393 )

According to the standard the lenght of the specimen must be 150 mm .

My specimen is unfortunately only 130 mn long

Is there any solution ?

thanks

RE: Flexural test for a Sandwich ( ASTM 393 )

What failure mode are you looking to obtain?
C393 is intended for core shear failure modes
D7249 is intended for face sheet failure modes
If you want core shear, the shorter 130mm specimen will probably work fine. But it also depends on the core depth and material properties.

Thank you very much for useful answer
I will investigate the Stiffness and failure behaviour of Sandwich
