NX 11 Drafting Baloon Type

NX 11 Drafting Baloon Type

NX 11 Drafting Baloon Type

(OP)
Is there a way to define balloon type in a drawing template? For example instead of a circle to be Type - Underlined, Stub length = 0 ... and without needing to define these specs each time you start using balloons. In Customer Defaults -> Drafting -> General/Setup -> Drafting Standard -> Customize Standard -> Balloon, it appears that you can only define circle diameter and line thickness but not balloon TYPE. Same thing in Drafting Preferences -> Annotation -> Balloon, no type option.

RE: NX 11 Drafting Baloon Type

There is an option that lets you specify which type of balloon to use for parts lists; but for general ID symbols, there is no "default" option in the templates. If you have dialog memory enabled, the ID symbol dialog will default to the last used type.

RE: NX 11 Drafting Baloon Type

usually when you toss in a parts list, this is a template part in your NX system teamcenter or Native. This is called out in the customer defaults of what .prt file NX is using. So please try finding your Parts list .prt file you are using and change the setting in this .prt file. Just a thought.
