Double click Text or a block w/ attributes.

Double click Text or a block w/ attributes.

(OP)
I have A2K

About a year ago I had a routine that would allow the user to double click text or a block with attributes and then would show the appropriate edit dialog box. Does anyone know of this routine, send me a copy, or know where I can get again?
Thanks for your effort in helping me!!

What happens now when you double click the text or attribute in A2K?

Check that DBLCLKEDIT = on

Cheers

Nothing. I checked my help file for System Variables, there is no listing for DBLCLKEDIT in A2K.
This is what I got at my command line.
Command: dblclkedit
Unknown command "DBLCLKEDIT".  Press F1 for help.
Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks for your help!!

RE: Double click Text or a block w/ attributes.

DBLCLKEDIT = on is a system variable from A2k2

RE: Double click Text or a block w/ attributes.

Not the solution you had but you could, click on the block, then if you have a keyboard shortcut like A or shift-A (for attedit), you could set up a quick attribute edit. Or you could add it to your right-click menu. Just some thoughts.

RE: Double click Text or a block w/ attributes.

OK then try this one

set PICKFIRST = 1

If that doesn't work I have got one more drastic measure.

Cheers
Mike

RE: Double click Text or a block w/ attributes.

o.k., i have dblclk = on and pickfirst = 1, but still my double click edit only seems to work at random times? any suggestions?
