Is anyone familiar with United Technologies' prefered hiring practices in Connecticut?

(OP)
I'm thinking Pratt & Whitney (East Hartford) and UT Aerospace (Windsor Locks) specifically. Do they currently prefer to hire through recruiters or direct application? If recruiters, can you suggest which ones? If direct application, do they frown on applying to multiple positions at the same facility (P&W has over 200 engineering listed as open! I'd hate to be limited to one). I understand that if you apply direct, a recruiter can no longer present you. Any feedback is appreciated!
