NPBA-12 Profibus for ABB ACS880

NPBA-12 Profibus for ABB ACS880

(OP)
Hi, I'm working with the communication between a ACS880 drive. I have a motor with winding and bearings RTDs that I have to wire up its drive (ACS880) I have 2 doubts:

1) How can I configure the motor temperatures protections in order to trip the drive when they reach a predefined value.

2) How can I send these temperatures (total of 5) via the profibus link. The vendor says that on PPO type 5 we have also 10 read words on the NPBA-12 profibus module and all of them are already used. Is possible to increase this number by selecting another PPO type?

Thanks!

RE: NPBA-12 Profibus for ABB ACS880

I am sure you can increase data block length. It just has to be defined in the gsd file.
eds = devicenet
gsd = profibus?

I would contact manufacturer about their gsd file to see if that is possible. Then drop that file into your profibus config under that vfd. Configure that drive for the extra words.
