I'm rtryinng to run a transient model of shutting off pumps with "Trip with inertia and no back flow or reverse flow" , so i can't define this junction (pump) because of efficiency values that i have entered in curve data (This error is given by The software)
i didn't get the impact of efficiency values chosen and the model to be run!

Can any one help me ! thx

RE: AFT impulse

Try entering 0.7 efficiency for every flow point to see if it starts working.

Thx Biginch,
i try it and it works, but there is something i don't understand it, the graph of pressure static function of time in pipe upstream and downstream the pumps gives an oscillation of max 30 bar and min 0.3 bar , and at one second the pressure rise to 180 bar and return to normal oscillation !!!!

i didn't descripe it very well and i hope you get the point !
thx

RE: AFT impulse

Is that when starting up the model, or the pump?

Let the model run for some time until all things stabilize. After stabilization, then start, or stop the pump. Did you see any difference in behavior?
