Service high concentration of, hydrogen sulphide and chlorides. Service temperature is about 70 C. Flow Characteristics : Sand Abrasion. What materials would be recommended?
Anyone come across Hastelloy cladding for a cs vessel.
Any experience Gunite Linning or FBE for pressure vessels.
What choices are there for (typr) sacrafical anodes to be placed in a pressure vessel with titanium members.
Off-shore pipeline; is it possible to utilize both impressed current and sacraficial anodes for a marine pipeline. If so, how is isolation provided to avoid formation of protective calcareous coatings over the sacraficial anodes that would render them in-effective else over polarize which leads to rapid corrosion of the sacraficial anodes.

---sounds like a pipe. do you have water or oil or gas (wet)? Is the sand on the outside? Is there seawater, too?

--temperature? cycling? solution? any solids for abrasion? agitation?
I don't think gunnite will be gas-tight for very long, if that matters. Is FBE fiberglass-epoxy? what P & T? This is pretty common for smaller sizes, but you need to choose a resin compatible with your solution at temperature. Vinylester resin is good for many acids, polyester is inferior. --is the solution similar to seawater? are you trying to protect the titanium? If so, the galvanic series indicates almost every common metal is anodic, with Mg, Zn & Al most so. These anodes should also work if your pressure vessel is steel.

1. Its a hydrocyclone (To seperate gas from crude no
there isnt any seawater) there is sand ingress
from the crude flowlines. The Salinity is high,
H2S content in both gas/liquid phase is high.
2. ENP is a nice thought; problem is H2S.
3. FBE is fusion bonded epoxy. Gunite will only
be applied to the lower half of the pressure
vessel. The solution is similar to brine + H2S :)
The pressure ranges is around 100 psi. thanx I liked
your reference here.
4. Titanium if galvanically coupled with
an alloy (CS) at low pH + H2S it will fail due to
hydrogen embrittlement. Any idea on what can be
galvanically coupled to it in such service conditions.
