Abnormal condition has occurred

(OP)
Hi everyone,

I opened a model on ETABS2016 and, while changing story level in my plan view, this message appeared "An abnormal condition has occurred. Program needs to terminate":

I would like to know if it's possible to repair the file, or do something in order to don't loose the model.

Thank you, regards.

RE: Abnormal condition has occurred

Have you tried contacting CSI to see if they can fix the model.

RE: Abnormal condition has occurred

When you encounter an Abnormal Condition, you do have the option of saving the model before it crashes.

However, I've encountered that exact problem many times. I try and avoid changing (especially adding) storey data after setting up the model. Try and get it right the first time.

Thank you all for helping.
Maybe I found a solution opening ETABS and importing the .e2k text file. It's boring because it happens quite often, but at least I don't waste the whole model.

RE: Abnormal condition has occurred

this problem is always happened when you change story level, to avoid this problem next times change only one value then make ok to modify this value then open story level second and change other one value then ok and so on
this massege appeared when you make more than one change and click ok.
