Assembly constraining two pins to two holes problem

Assembly constraining two pins to two holes problem

Assembly constraining two pins to two holes problem

(OP)
Hi

When I constrain two pins to to holes say the distance between holes is 100.00000
and the distance between the pins is 100.00001 NX refuse to apply it.

Is there a setting that I can use so the constraint will be applied. (without distance changing)

(for example tolerance control or something else)

Thank you in advanced.

RE: Assembly constraining two pins to two holes problem

Hi,
Customer Defaults :ASSEMBLIES/POSITIONING/SOLVER..... look for Linear tolerance...not sure but worth trying it i guess.

Kapil

Hi Kapil

I' thank you very much
yes their are two setting linear tolerance and angular tolerance

But because these setting are on the customer default
I afraid that later when the customer default will be
Changed again I'll have a problem.

Because I know that their are other nx tasks that have the
tolerance directly on the nx task dialogue

RE: Assembly constraining two pins to two holes problem

Instead of aligning the second set of hole/pin, you could use an angle constraint using "orient" with the angle of zero.

Or make the second pin/hole axis simply Parallel instead of Aligned.

Thanks to dave and john

Actually for years I'm used as John said.

But john you know this for years
what is the rreason that nx not include
the tolerances in the constraints dialogue?
