Mass conversion from sldprt to prt

Mass conversion from sldprt to prt

(OP)
Our company switched our standard from SolidWorks to NX. I'm looking for an easier way to convert these .sldprt files to NX's .prt files. Can anyone think of a way to do this?

I can export each .sldprt as a .stp and open them but would prefer not to lose the feature functionality. I assume that remodeling is the only option but I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas? We have 9k files to convert.

Take a look at Theorem Solutions.
Although they may not have a direct product to offer, they may be able to help.

Siemens has a Solidworks to NX Content Migration Manager tool.

We learned about, and looked into it, but we had already migrate the majority of the data we needed via STEP. In our industry, very few parts have a long lifespan.

A good solution and support from the vendor (hard to beat that!). I'm surprised it wasn't part of the switch SOW. I would have thought Siemens sales would have been all over that. Good one, Dave!
Best to you, Stephen!
