Flatness for split casing centrifugal pump

Flatness for split casing centrifugal pump

Flatness for split casing centrifugal pump

(OP)
Dear all
Currently i'm working on repair work for split case centrifugal pump.
i'm having an issue with the flatness surface between top and bottom casing interfaces.
The flatness was out by 0.031".
Please help me to choose between the solutions listed below:
1) Performing metal build up on the surfaces and then skim
2) Using gasket with thicker thickness

If you have any other solution or reference to API requirement, feel free to add.Thanks.

Regards
miladavidsono
