Does anyone have any experience with Lindapter's products(good or bad)?
Also do you think it is good enough for me to use their literature and call it out on my document, or should I submit my design requirements to Lindapter? My problem is to use existing support steel without welding to it or drilling holes through it. This will be a hanger connection of about 7 kips.

RE: Lindapter connections

I've had nothing but good experience with their stuff. Although it's been limited to their hollo-bolts. Which require drilling.

RE: Lindapter connections

We have used their steel-to-steel fixings for monorails and platforms, all with uniformly good results, so far (6 - 8 years). Just make sure the installers fully torque the fixing bolts (stretch them to their yield). "Twist-off"-type bolts do nicely.

I've used them for monorails, never heard of any crashing down after the fact. Agree with David about install torque. Thankfully most installers I worked with seem to realize that these work through clamping and thus full torque is required.

RE: Lindapter connections

I've used the hollo-bolts a few times for HSS connections. No complaints. Their tech support staff is very responsive.
