RE: And it was a week and half before anyone noticed...

JohnRBaker,

I would think that one of the most stressful jobs in the world would be engraving things onto the back of expensive watches and other not-easily-replaced stuff. One spelling mistake, and you are toast.

Is "Triple E Street" a cover band? It should be.

Or carving names on tombstones. With that in mind, think of the anxiety for whomever was responsible for the spelling of the names on the slabs which make up 'The Wall' in DC:

A coworker of mine had a very strange middle name: CLOIN. He claimed it was supposed to be Colin, after his late great uncle (long passed), but spelled incorrectly on his uncle's gravestone.

My Mother ordered a replacement tombstone for one of our revolutionary war ancestors and got one of the dates wrong. In her defense, the original was very hard to read but she should have realized the century was off! It was made as she ordered it, we didn't realize the mistake until the next Memorial Day. The stone cutter was able to correct it but you can tell it's been altered.

Maybe it took them a week and a half to zoom out far enough to see the huge photo?

jk Mr John

Just a little artistic license, it fills the space better with the extra E.

Actually not, if you look at the picture in the opening post.
