Is it possible to embed a JT file into PowerPoint?

RE: JT and PowerPoint

I don't see why not.. Just drag and drop it like any other file.. Is there some special functionality you are trying to achieve or something besides just having it be in your PPTX document?

I can drag and drop it, that's no problem.

I'd like to be able to "view" it during a slide show.

Double-clicking on it only launches JT2Go when I'm in edit mode,

RE: JT and PowerPoint

You mean view in 3D and spin it around? I've only heard of that type of thing with 3D PDF. I would be surprised if PowerPoint was able to view CAD files in 3D.

Powerpoint itself can't display either JT data or 3D PDF data -- but it is able to delegate this job to other software. Since JT2Go gets launched when you double-click on the image in Powerpoint, the linking/embedding must be working, basically. If things don't work in slideshow mode, I'd guess that some Powerpoint parameter somewhere needs to be tweaked.
