Looking for Detail for Raised Garage for Single Family Home
Looking for Detail for Raised Garage for Single Family Home
(OP)
Good afternoon, I am designing a raised garage for a single family home. The framing will be light weight concrete over plywood over wood floor joist. The floor joist will be supported at one end by the footing and at one end by a girder. I was wondering if anyone had any standard details that could be shared. Thank you.

That being said, whenever we do concrete topping on wood framing, there's no connection. It's poured directly against the sheathing and I haven't seen a case of de-bonding. Granted that is never subjected to car traffic.
I'm not sure how you would quantify it, but maybe driving a bunch of screws halfway into the joists would act like mini nelson studs.

You are usually looking at 3/4" to 1.125" T&G plywood spanning no more than 12" to the joists.
