Linear vs nonlinear time history analysis
Linear vs nonlinear time history analysis
(OP)
Hello!
Speaking conceptually/ theoretically, when should the deformations be smaller: in a linear time history analysis or in a nonlinear time history analysis? Let's assume everything else is exactly the same in both analyses, just the type of analysis changes.
