Gerotor Design

(OP)
I am looking for any resources or tips regarding general gerotor design.  I have found the Gerotor Design Studio software, but have been unable to run it on my system.  Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Gerotor Design

Bib block Mopar engines of old had gerotor style oil pumps.  If you want an in-hand sample, an auto parts store could fix you up with one. Otherwise, there are some good books on pump design, but I'm away from my library location right now, so I cannot give you a specific title or author, I'll try to post later.

RE: Gerotor Design

Didn't find my pump book, but I did find a website from the UK offering some design software which might be of interest.
Looks like their software is also not too expensive.

Good Luck.

RE: Gerotor Design

This design is very popular with hydraulic motors. High torque, low speed. I have used them a lot, but never done much when it comes to analyzing the design. That may help point you to more information. I just found someone making a pneumatic version for a small pet project of mine.

RE: Gerotor Design

gerotor pumps? I work with them all the time. mostly to feed axial fixed or variable axial pumps to flood them so they wont cavatate.
