Creating circles in sketch within a given boundary

(OP)
Hi,

We have a frequent requirement to create small circles in sketch within a given boundary (see attached file). Can anyone suggest an easy and best way of doing this. or if anyone can create a program to automate this process, I would highly appreciate,

Thanks & Best Regards
Sreenath

Make sketch with outer shape.
Inside boundaries make small circle.
go to patter featre, select small circle as feature to pattern.
In pattern definition, expand BOUNDARY DEFINITION, and select curves of sketch of big shape.
Specify vectors for pattern, and count and pitch that will cover big form.
Click OK.

Thank you so much Ivan. I did not know this option and it really helped in saving time for me to do this type of jobs.

RE: Creating circles in sketch within a given boundary

You will find a similar option under the Pattern Curve INSIDE the sketcher, IF (!) you toggle OFF the "Create Inferred Constraints" first.
Note that it will not be associative/Parametric.

Tomas

Thank you Tomas. Yes, we also could explore this option.
