The Specific Need

I would like to round up as many sources of online structural engineering articles as possible. The requirements are:

1) They need to be published online as true online articles, not just linked PDF's.
2) They should be free and not require any login procedure to access.
3) Articles only need to exist, they don't necessarily need to be being published regularly.

Who's got recommendations for me? So far, I've got Structuremag. The articles are available as PDF files but they are also available as online articles (web pages) which is key for my purposes here. I'm seeking more of the same on anything withing the structural domain. Masonry, steel, facade... whatever. Concrete Construction is another example that's working well.

The Background

I read in bed before I fall asleep. I've always wanted to read trade publications but that typically has involved using my iPad which annoys my spouse terribly and has the whole blue light / sleep deprivation problem.

As of this afternoon I now have the Kobo Aura One. You know, because I'm Canadian, I'm a sucker for blue blocked light, and I'm generally a gadget princess. Anyhow, the widget came pre-loaded with an app called Pocket. Pocket lets you save any online article to your Kobo/Kindle etc for offline reading later. With this technology, I finally have what I've been wanting with regard to reading structural articles in bed, with my eReader. I've been demoing it with Structuremag articles and it works like a bloody charm.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.

Some examples that work so far are listed below. I'll update it as we go.

Journal of Light Construction
Structure Magazine
Concrete Construction

One of my go-to free sites is Electronic Journal of Structural Engineering. Link A little AU/NZ/SE Asia-centric, but it is free, so can't complain.

For precast/prestressed concrete stuff, you cannot beat PCI's achieved journals: Link

Not sure if the above meet your "need to be published online as true online articles, not just linked PDF's" criteria.

0/2 for non-PDF. I didn't know about the EJSE though so a star for that. I do also read during the daylight hours on occasion.

I know it's not what you're asking for but one option for the iPad is to install screen overlay apps that can filter the blue light on the screen by tinting it, and also screen dimming apps that allow you to crank the brightness way below the normal minimum setting. A potential website that may/may not require login but does have web based articles is http://csengineermag.com/.

Edit: Oops, didn't notice that Ussuri had posted that link previously.

It's not super duper structural, but Fine Homebuilding has great articles. Every now and then they will have a structural item.
