Hello,
How important it is to go for the transient study of rising pressure in penstock of high head power plants? The head is of 491 m with 20.42 m3/s discharge and with bifurcation in the end feeding equal capacity pelton turbine.Initial pressure rise is being calculated with Allievi chart.
How reliable will be the calculation with this chart?
