thread799-385679: Moving Heat Flux (laser) - From the simplest example - DFLUX subroutine

Hello all!

I am a newbie to eng-tips and this is my first post. Please excuse me if have not followed any of the rules of this forum. I have restarted thread799-385679: Moving Heat Flux (laser) - From the simplest example - DFLUX subroutine because I thought it would be a nice introduction to dflux subroutine that I have to use it for my academic work.

I am assigned an academic task of simulating induction heating process in abaqus. I have succeeded in simulating induction heating process (involving electromagnetic and heat transfer analyses) on a plate when the coil is stationary. Both coil and plate are enclosed by air medium. Now, I have to provide movement to the coil to simulate dynamic heating on the plate.

I have zero knowledge in writing subroutines. So I thought of following polak7's thread799-385679: Moving Heat Flux (laser) - From the simplest example - DFLUX subroutine as an example but did not achieve the result as he did. I just ended up heating the whole plate. So, I would like to request polak7 to provide me with .cae file or .inp file for me to understand things slightly better. If you can provide, it will be a very good start for me as I am not able to find simple examples. Also, I would greatly appreciate if someone can provide any useful links or documentation regarding dflux subroutine.

Thanks in advance.

RE: DFLUX- Subroutine

There are two examples in the Verification Manual.
