thread802-220276: Use Special One-Way Load Distribution

Hi there,
I found a question in an old thread asking about the usage of the option "Use Special One-Way Load Distribution" (when define slab section properties), and it didn't get an answer.
Actually one of the important usage of this option when you have hollow core slab or one-way ripped slab, in this case you need to be sure that the load totally transfers in certain direction. in this case we have to choose also (membrane) option, then the load will be transferred exactly the way we expect. If you choose the option (thin-shell) then part of the load will go the other directionm which will cause wrong results.
Note: when you choose (membrane) for a slab then it will not be suitable to depend on the moments or stresses result for the slab to design it, but it is a good choice to be sure that the load will transfer totally to the beams in one direction and no portion of the load escape to the other direction especially in the case of precast hollow-core slab lean on beams or walls.
