New Drawing Template - Arial or Arial Unicode MS font?

New Drawing Template - Arial or Arial Unicode MS font?

New Drawing Template - Arial or Arial Unicode MS font?

(OP)
Dear All,

I am setting up a new Drawing Template in NX10.

Is there a reason why the default NX10 Templates have the Fonts for all notes Arial Unicode MS?
Why not Arial? If it was Arial, you can have the Text Parameters like Regular, Bold, Italic and Bold Italic.
With Arial Unicode MS you do't have this options...

Or is there some other unknown reason?
Can anybody advice on this or give you experience on either used and any problems with them?

Kind regards,
Pascal

RE: New Drawing Template - Arial or Arial Unicode MS font?

I've never worked anywhere that specified the use of bold, italic, or bold-italic modifiers to text. Actual characters were used when emphasis or name-grouping was required, such as quotation marks or parenthesis. That goes for small shops and large companies.

I don't think I was ever taught in any drafting or drawing production lessons to ever use bold/italic emphasis either. I avoid using it. It's not a powerpoint presentation.
