incorrect template specification the units of the part and template do not match

incorrect template specification the units of the part and template do not match

(OP)
I am trying to create a set of metric drawing templates in NX9.
I have taken our existing inch ones, went to edit sheet and changed the units.

I have renamed them and they open correctly,so to test them I have created a metric model.

When I try to create a new drawing I get the message

Incorrect template specification the units of the part and template do not match

Anyone help?

RE: incorrect template specification the units of the part and template do not match

You'll need to convert the drawing templates to be actual metric files, not just use metric units.

Use ug_convert_part.exe to do this. https://allyplm.com/2016/02/2016218how-to-convert-...

thank you!

RE: incorrect template specification the units of the part and template do not match

Note on the side of this:
There is nothing wrong in using mixed units model- drawing, NX handles that very nice, I.e metric models on Inch drawings or the opposite, NX does however present a message when one are creating the drawing file that the units doesn't match. - which you should be able to acknowledge and continue.

Tomas
