Simulation of High Speed Impact of Two Deformable Bodies

Simulation of High Speed Impact of Two Deformable Bodies

(OP)
Hello Everyone;
I am trying to analyze a bullet impact problem against layered target system. The problem requires element deletion of all materials. There should be contact interaction between the materials.
I have done the simulation with a rigid projectile for the sake of easiness of the problem. However, I have trouble with the contact definition of two adjacent plates. The Program terminates with an excessive deformation error. In order to compare the results, I would like to construct the problem either axisymmetric and 3D scheme.
Can anyone give me a hand on this?

Thanks
