JOURNAL CODE FOR FONTS

JOURNAL CODE FOR FONTS

JOURNAL CODE FOR FONTS

(OP)
All of our notes are set at LEROY and a height of 2.5 for our standards. However, specific notes we place on some sheets are supposed to be POSTER and 5.0
I want to give people the choice whether to select the notes they wish to change before running the journal, or to run the journal and it would prompt them to select the notes.

I have a journal for a similar situation where I want specific appended text to be added o certain notes and that works great. I cant figure out how to convert this from appended text for dimensions, to changing the font and size of notes.

Help is appreciated.... the appended text journal is attached in case it helps.

RE: JOURNAL CODE FOR FONTS

Leroy and Poster sounds like "Unigraphics fonts",
What version of NX are you running ?
Isn't it time to migrate to the TrueType fonts ?

( The "Unigraphics type" fonts have one (?) benefit and that is the "engrave-ability", due to the single stroke/no fill definition. But apart from that , i don't know.)

Regards,
Tomas

We use NX9, sorry, I usually mention that. We dont have the free choice of what font to use. To my understanding the customer wants us to use Leroy on all font and for particular titles to use Poster. But whatever fonts we use, we would still need to change the font on specific texts, and to select the notes we want to change and just hit a button to do it automatically would save time and lessen the chance of human error.

Thanks Ufsure! This works awesome. Also with two versions of this code, doing two different things to notes, hopefully I will be able to see how to manipulate it in the future. I really appreciate it. clown
