EHV cable laying techniques
EHV cable laying techniques
(OP)
Dear All readers,
I working on the project where I have to arrange the EHV cable laying in buried condition. But due to space constraint and maintenance point of view in case of fault, I have applied the method which is attached for your kind reference, I need to to know about the validation of this method. Is this method is Good for construction and any relevant standard or any project is there which can validate this method like any Project name or IEC/BS/IEEE/ Cigre or any international guidelines.
If any slight modification is require, I can update accordingly but no major modification as there is Space constraints in Width and depth.
And request you please come up with any relevant international standards/Guidelines or past experience projects.
Ignore the trench section, Consider only buried systems
Regards
Shozab

RE: EHV cable laying techniques
a.In areas where frost conditions could damage cables, greater burial depths than indicated above may be desirable.
b.Lesser depths than indicated above may be used where supplemental protection is provided.
The supplemental protection should be sufficient to protect the cable from damage imposed by expected surface usage.
That means, in my opinion, a structural engineer has to check the protection means.
In my opinion, the concrete plates are not sufficient in order to support against a heavy truck weight.
