Catia sluggish after repeated opening and closing of files.

(OP)
I have a macro written to target a folder, find a CATDwg inside it, open it, edit, save, and close before looping on to the next CATDwg in the folder. I've turned off RefreshDisplay, I'm not working in Cache mode, and I "Clear History" on each loop. Eventually the only solution is to restart CATIA, which most of the time will correct the sluggishness. I recently encountered a situation though where my entire machine became sluggish, and restarting explorer.exe was the only way to bring it back, though this may be unrelated. Does anyone know what may be causing CATIA to bog down on multiple opening and closing of files? Is there a fix?
