Is anyone using any of the new 3D Labs Wildcat VP graphics cards yet?
If so, which one and how does it compare in performance to the NVidia cards?

RE: 3D Labs Wildcat VP vs. NVidia Quadro/GeForce

Hello,

I have not tried these cards myself, but here is a link to the SolidWorks benchmark:

http://www.solidmag.com/Summary/SWBM02_results.htm

Here is an exerpt:

"The NVIDIA Quadro II Pro graphics card in the MaxVision system earned the best score in the Graphics Test Average. It was followed closely by the ATI Fire GL2-equipped systems from Compaq and Dell. The Fire GL4 and Wildcat II 5000-equipped systems brought up the rear. The Quadro II Pro card is roughly $300 less expensive than the Fire GL2 card, but without results from a Pentium 4 system, it is only clearly faster when in an Athlon system. Once again, the high-end Wildcat and Fire GL4 cards don't seem to offer much for SolidWorks users, although the results are muddied a little since the processor scores for their two systems were not the best."

cheers,

Joseph

MadManxCadMan - That's the info I was looking for, Thanks!

It looks like the VP's might be worth considering...
