Design Pressure, MAWP, Operating Pressure

Hello everyone,

I wonder if someone can clarify for me, according to ASME VIII div 1 and 2 how I can specify the Design Pressure and MAWP with respect to Operating Pressure for a vessel under internal pressure.

Thank you!

RE: Design Pressure, MAWP, Operating Pressure

See other post - IMHO. you can't because you don't know what allowance has been made by whoever set or calculated the operating pressure.

note MAWP and design pressure for a pressure vessel isn't the same as for piping or pipelines.

Search MAWP on this forum and you'll find lots of responses, e.g. http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=165400

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.
