I need lines in drafting

I need lines in drafting

I need lines in drafting

I am trying to add lines in my drafting view that I can dimension the angles, and when I put a line in, the angle is not quite precise. Not sure how to draw in drafting to help dimension a part?

Thanks,

Brent

RE: I need lines in drafting

One way would be to use a "drafting sketch". You can right click on a drafting view and choose "active sketch view", which then allows you to add 2D geometry to the view.

With what Cowski mentions make sure when you create your dimension your "driving" area of the dialogue box is set to driving. VS being set by inferred or driven.

RE: I need lines in drafting

I hope you do not require just horizontal or vertical "helper" lines - those can be done within the Angular dimension command without additional geometry.

I did use the line command in drafting and it created what I needed. Thank you for the suggestions.

Is this angle is for illustration only or
For dimensioning a model shape
