NX 10 journal; component attributes

NX 10 journal; component attributes

NX 10 journal; component attributes

(OP)
Hi,

It is possible to make journal or macro to assign material or different part attributes from selectable list but without manualy open component properties?

I'm looking for it but I can't find something even similar to edit.

My idea for it work:
start journal
1. It open new window (like eg. extrude)
2. in window you can choose from list material (the best if list can be in journal manualy write in code)
3. in the same window you can choose from list other attributes eg. HRC (list in journal code)
4. After hit OK the choosen things add to component properties as new title

And second question:

It's possible to make journal to show in new window part attributes.
Eg. show material, callout, etc (what it show is specified in journal code, not all part attributes)
And after all close it with OK button

Thanks,
Adam

RE: NX 10 journal; component attributes

I have had help with one that sounds sort of similar to what you want. In the end, the journal would pop up a window with specific attributes we wanted to add to the file. We could fill in the attribute info and click OK and it would add those attributes to the file then import a file with a note that was connected to those attributes.

I know you want to add attributes to components and not the current work part file, but if nobody can give what you need, maybe you can manipulate the one we had to do what you want.

Here is the thread that had the code he helped me with.
