Real time X-ray sources

Real time X-ray sources

Real time X-ray sources

(OP)
I am looking for a source for real time x-ray equipment.  The application will be aluminum die cast automotive components.
Can anyone help me ?  I am located in Northwest Ohio,  the closer the better.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Real time X-ray sources

Try the following website:

http://www.xrayindustries.com/

They sell x-ray equipment, and also do x-ray testing.

RE: Real time X-ray sources

We currently use real-time x-ray on castings. I would suggest you look closely at your requirements, as it can open up a whole can of worms, what you thought were good castings on the outside suddenly under x-ray have levels of shrinkage, which leads to the moral question do you try to fix problem or let sleeping dogs lie.

In addition you will find there is a general vaugness with customers over defect levels, If you give a customer a chart and suggest that level 4 shrinkage sponge would be acceptable, he will think "no, i want level 1 or 2" this would make the part aerospacce quality and therefore command aerospace prices.

Companies to try are

Feinfocus
and

ABB

You could try North Star Imaging (www.4ndtnsi.com).  They do great work and offer classes on x-ray inspection.  In fact when I went through 3 of the other students were looking at your exact application.

Good Luck!
